# ShopFlow practice closeout

**Date:** 2026-10-14. **Status:** Planned guided practice sequence complete; application not certified defect-free.

## Recorded results

- 18 completed learner executions: 14 Pass and 4 Fail across releases 1.0 and 1.1.
- 3 learner-discovered defect observations: quantity multiplication, exact-minimum promo eligibility, and Standard delivery after discount. All have matching passing maintenance-release checks within their recorded scopes.
- 20 screenshots supporting 17 runs; SF-RUN-008 is report-only, with assigned release 1.0 and no independently pictured selector or complete breakdown.
- 1 learner-authored reviewed and executed case, SF-TC-011. Other cases were supplied or assistant-guided.
- 1 separate assistant-observed UX proposal, SF-UX-001, open: stale promo success feedback after checkout. Refresh clears that message in the recorded sequence; no fix was implemented.

The counts are executions, not 18 independently authored cases. The CSV contains additional unused starter designs; these are coverage opportunities, not completed runs. Author logic checks are separate from learner executions.

## Covered scope

Notebook Add and Update arithmetic, Update maximum and above-maximum rejection, saved valid quantity after rejected input, SAVE10 at $20 and above, repeated Apply, Standard/Express delivery comparisons, discount-delivery interaction, name/email validation, correction to successful checkout, cart/promo clearing, empty resubmission, saved summary refresh, and independence of a new cart from a saved order.

The final visible state is a new one-Notebook Express cart at $22.49 and saved SF-001 at $49.99. Neither reset nor a new order submission is required to close the practice project. Screenshots preserve the evidence; no browser-local JSON export was supplied or inspected.

## Limits and remaining work

Only Windows desktop and Chrome were actually tested; the exact browser/OS versions were not recorded. No representative-user research, accessibility audit, phone execution, automation by the learner, production system, real payment, or email delivery was involved.

Untested or incomplete areas include cumulative Add stock caps, other product caps, blank/zero/negative/fractional quantities, all Remove interactions, invalid/padded/lowercase promo input, discount rounding, exact post-discount delivery thresholds, broader name/email boundaries, storage failures, export verification, and full stored order-count inspection. Visible latest-summary checks do not directly prove the complete saved order history.

## Simulated recommendation

Close this learning assignment with the evidence collected. The three reported calculation defects have passing checks on 1.1; retain the low-severity feedback issue and coverage gaps. Broader testing is needed before a release-wide quality or business acceptance decision. This is a practice recommendation, not merchant sign-off.

## Contribution provenance

The learner executed tests, supplied observations/screenshots, noticed email-field focus, and authored the reviewed maximum-quantity Update steps. The assistant supplied the app and seeded builds, requirements, most cases, coaching, proposed expectations, and formatted records. The assistant found SF-UX-001. No application-code contribution or measured customer/business outcome is attributed to the learner.
