01 / THE DESIGN INTENT

Make time together easier to organize.

Gather explores a focused social space for people who already know each other. The design brings plans, shared updates, trip timelines, and photo albums into one familiar interface. The goal is to make the next action clear for people with different levels of digital confidence.

01 / PEOPLE

Choose your circle.

Switch between family and friend groups. Customize each circle’s name, icon, color, or uploaded logo to make it easy to recognize.

02 / PLANS

Make room for together.

Create a plan with its date, time, location, and organizer’s time zone. Give people clear Going, Maybe, and Not going choices.

03 / MOMENTS

Keep the story together.

Share updates, add trip timeline moments, and collect photos in a plan’s album rather than losing them across conversations.

02 / INTERFACE IN PRACTICE

One plan. The details people need.

The plan view puts the event details, RSVP choices, timeline, and album together. Explicit time-zone wording helps clarify when the event happens. Familiar labels and generous controls support a calm, readable experience.

03 / CURRENT BUILD

A working concept, still taking shape.

The prototype includes responsive navigation, light and dark appearance, account preferences, circle customization, plan creation and RSVPs, shared updates, timelines, and browser-based photo uploads and downloads.

Active UI/UX portfolio prototype. People and events are sample content. Plans, posts, and circle changes work during the current session; invitations are previews. Real accounts, secure membership, shared storage, cross-device collaboration, and translation remain future work.
04 / NEXT QUESTIONS

Learn where families need more clarity.

The next step is usability research with people of different ages and digital confidence: can they find their circle, create a plan, respond to an invitation, and understand a trip timeline? International use also needs research into language, date formats, and time zones. These are planned checks, rather than completed validation.
